Dr. Dávid SzépBiologist

I finished my studies as a biologist at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Pécs. During my years as a student and an assistant research fellow, I researched ecology, especially feeding ecology of owls, but I also had contributions to the researches of the Department of Ecology. My Ph.D. studies were also related to owls, I examined the diet change of the barn owls and long-eared owls, and its connection with weather or land use change. After my Ph.D. defence, I was working at Janus Pannonius Museum in Pécs as a museum educator. The aim of this work was to arouse the interest of the students coming to the Pécs Zoo in science and nature conservation, with the help of experiential education. At the ITD, I am currently working as a biologist and I’m participate in lab works and in researches with zebrafish.
