Do you have an innovative idea and want to jumpstart your business? WIth EIT Jumpstarter you can access the largest innovation network of EIT Communities. You will compete for the whopping first prize of up to €10,000 in nine categories. With the contribution of best-in-class experts, a creative community, and unique know-how, we aim to support idea-holders to turn their ideas into business. We help innovators and entrepreneurs build a viable business model around their innovative product or service idea and validate it. If their business idea is sustainable, we encourage them to register their company.

Bridgehead programme

EIT Health’s Bridgehead programme brings together health entrepreneurs who want to grow their business in the European market with top incubators and accelerators who have the expertise and resources to make it happen. We help match your scale-up with an incubator or accelerator from EIT Health’s approved network – we call these organisations our Catalysers. Together, you will plan how to access new markets in Europe quickly and decisively, tap into local networks of partners and clients, access infrastructure and understand new regulatory systems. You’ll be given the seasoned expertise, insight and support needed to help realise your business ambitions.

European Health Catapult

Introducing a unique competition and training programme that showcases life sciences and health tech start-ups to leading experts and investors across Europe. The programme awards the best business concepts, fast-tracking start-ups to become part of the EIT Health Community of world-leading companies. Throughout the programme, start-ups receive intensive training as they build their credibility and visibility through pan-European exposure. Finalists pitch at the Bits & Pretzels HealthTech event as they go head-to-head for cash and industry prizes, and the opportunity to be displayed on the New York Nasdaq Tower.

Felhasználói validációs laboratóriumok: Tesztelje innovációját a végfelhasználókkal

A User Validation Labs (ULabs) program összekapcsolja Önt az EIT Health európai partnereivel, akik segíthetnek Önnek megszervezni és végrehajtani egy validációs vizsgálatot a start-up innovációja számára. Az ULabok közé tartoznak élő laboratóriumok, gyorsítók, kórházak és innovációs központok, amelyek segíthetnek Önnek abban, hogy hozzáférjen leendő végfelhasználóihoz és visszajelzést gyűjtsön tőlük. Lehetősége lesz arra, hogy termékét vagy szolgáltatását betegekkel, klinikusokkal és egészségügyi dolgozókkal tesztelje Európában.

Start-up meets Pharma

Your innovative healthcare solution could be exactly what major pharmaceutical companies are looking for. In this programme, pharma companies set challenges that matter to them and work in partnership with start-ups whose ideas match those challenges. If you offer an attractive solution, you will collaborate with top experts in your field and obtain development support from a major pharmaceutical company. You will receive a tailored training programme designed to help your start-up achieve success. You will also gain one-on-one access to your pharma sponsors, allowing you to develop relationships with key stakeholders and industry leaders. Past sponsors include industry titans like Pfizer, Bayer, Amgen, Boehringer Ingelheim and Beiersdorf. The Challenges For 2021, the programme is seeking start-ups that address the following four challenges, which are provided by Merck, AstraZeneca, Takeda and Amgen: Facilitate patients’ identification/screening in clinical trials (in collaboration with Amgen) Integrated care for chronic kidney disease patients: Focus on early diagnosis and prevention of life-threatening complications (in collaboration with AstraZeneca) Digital remote monitoring and support solutions for patients living with multiple sclerosis (in collaboration with Merck) Digital and personalised health for adult ADHD (in collaboration with Takeda)

This year, 4 companies are looking for potential solutions in the following four topics:

1. Digital solutions improving referral and diagnostic pathway for rare disease – Takeda

2. Early diagnosis and identification of risk for disease progression Chronic Kidney patients – Boehringer Ingelheim RCV

3. Innovative solutions for pain management – Sintetica

4. Care coordination between primary care and specialty care Athersclerotic Cardiovascular Disease patients with elevated LDL-s levels

Attract2Invest

We are pleased to inform you that EIT Health has launched the first edition of Attract2Invest, a very new program developed by RIS BC. During the program, early-stage startups are supported not only in conducting a successful seed/Series A investment round, but also in the long-term successful management of their investors.

Selected applicants will receive:

• €20,000 smart money
• opportunity to participate in a fundraising boot camp, in the second half of October, where you can gain practical experience in developing an investment strategy, finalizing a business plan, defining a USP, optimizing a successful pitch content, establishing and managing investor relations, optimizing goals and investment conditions
• participation in a simulation of a board meeting with committed senior investors
• peer-to-peer learning
• individual mentoring
